Industrial Supplies Company (ISCO) has been providing "A Complete Service to Industry" since 1945. We are currently seeking a qualified outside sales representative (Account Manager) to join our sales team. The primary coverage area for this position is the New England Area in Connecticut and Rhode Island. The ideal candidate should live within 40 miles of Groton, CT. The successful candidate for this position will have experience in providing products and solutions for customers in the maintenance, repair, operations and production (MROP) markets. The individual must be able to sell their value and the value of our company to the customer. They must be able to look for and find cost savings & operating efficiencies. In addition to product knowledge we are looking for individuals who have experience selling storeroom solutions that include vendor managed inventory (VMI), Vending Machine Solutions and Value Added Services. On a daily basis our competition includes companies such as: MSC, McMaster-Carr, Grainger, IDG, and Fastenal. Responsibilities include calling on established accounts, identifying new customer opportunities, and managing a territory. The main focus will be generating new sales and new accounts . You must have a sense of urgency and the ability to interact with our End-User Customers' ownership/leadership, plant management, and purchasing and maintenance departments. Our market area is primarily throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. Our customer base includes, but is not limited to, metalworking companies, refineries, chemical companies, fabricators, pharmaceutical companies, food processors, submarine and aerospace manufacturers. Some of our product lines include: abrasives, adhesives, cutting tools, power tools, lubricants, hand tools, precision tools, material handling products and safety products.
